Please is there a way so i can use HQ2x again with 5.1? It was the best way i played the game. Why did it had to be completely removed? If it was slown for some players like the changelog says, they could simply switch to another mode. Why the need of completely removing it? 2x scale looks way worse

As far as I know there's no way to use HQ2x in V5.1, but now the "normal" rendering doesn't look pixelated anymore, it looks interpolated (similarly to emulators). Have you tried that? It's very good, much better than HQ2x in my opinion.

Yes I was wondering why they took that option away, 2x normal still does not look very good nor does scale x2 look very good. I was hoping they would add HQX4 to make it look even better.

P.S how do you open up the A.I editor thank you in advance.

As far as I know there's no way to use HQ2x in V5.1, but now the "normal" rendering doesn't look pixelated anymore, it looks interpolated (similarly to emulators). Have you tried that? It's very good, much better than HQ2x in my opinion.

Mmm, that's weird, it shouldn't display like that. It should display in FULL screen (albeit in 4:3 aspect ratio). It could be something related to the configuration of your videocard, you might try to change some settings there or see if you can create a specific profile of settings to associate to the SORR exe, so that the application is displayed in fullscreen.

EDIT: if changing your videocard settings does nothing, another thing you can try is to hook up your PC screen with a TV via a HDMI cable. If you mirror the PC screen on the TV it will display exactly the same thing as the PC screen, but if you leave only the TV active it SHOULD go fullscreen.

I have tried everything. My game does not go in fullscreen in Normal mode.Any GPU scaling option in my AMD catalyst panel doesn't work. Please add HQ2x again for 5.1...i don't understand why completely removing it rather than making it an option Neutral

You have to use 2x normal to make the game go full screen. Standard Normal will not work. Does V-SYNCH even work on this game.

Strangely enough V-sync doesn't work for me anymore as well. When i first played this game i was on Windows XP with weaker hardware. V-sync + HQ2x worked flawlessly and smooth on fullscreen. Now years later after i upgraded my whole system, both of them doesn't work no matter what i do (i know the correlation with this doesn't make sense...but it is really what i'm experiencing).

I don't mind the tearing, but the pixelation at 2x scale is really bad, and Scanlines are too much. Well, thanks for the help guys! Guess i'll have to live with it.

I can't do the challenges to get the AI Editor, they are too difficult to do. One of which is to try and make the Robot X have his rocket missile hit him but it always gets me, I clearly don't know how you do it.

You don't need to do all the event mode stuff...I never completed the biker one but I do have the other two criteria for unlocking:

Boss Rush ain't easy either, you have very limited health items and guns and many of the bosses are very hard to beat such as the Abadede, always charging at you and do suplex on you if they get close to you. Sad

I think this was a mistake of game design. The reward (AI editor) does not match the public who will do the challenge. Sure people who are very good at the game will be pleased to receive something from the game designer to tell them they play well (and that's the good point) but the AI editor is a feature which can be used by many people including those who are not "top players".

It's like bombergame tell "you trash don't deserve to play with the AI editor". I know it's not the intention behind this locking and that's why it is a mistake of game design.

Being top player at BTU need a great skill
Being a good BTU moder need a great skill
Being a good designer need a great skill

Obviously, the people who make this patch don't even think to how this reward will be frustrating for people. They assume that everyone play well enough to get S rank on survival or such. That's why I don't blame them, it is just a mistake, and everyone make mistake.

Hurray, I've finally did it, seems that the best character to use for Boss Rush is indeed Shiva, his defensive special does a lot of damage. So yeah, Boss Rush is the better method of getting the AI Editor unlocked.

Pretty sure all bosses are immune to that now, only some mooks still are.
