Something's been bugging me for quite a while. We have a SECOND update on our hands and there's still no way to choose some stages in Battle Mode. It's perfectly understandable why bike/boat stages would be inaccessible, but what's wrong with... let's see...Alley/Cafe/Hidden Elevator from SoR 2 or RoboX's Headquarters from SoR 3. And that's just from the top of my head, i'm sure there's more. Can someone enlighten me about that ?

I'm guessing a space issue might be the problem, Bumblebee, but I could be wrong. I never even noticed, due to the fact I never used battle mode much myself. LOL

I know alot of the stages "excluded" from battle mode had scripting or special things that would require a full redo to be useable otherwise.

I've run through this update about twice now, with Zan and Blaze 1. Great update imo, fixes a lot of any "issues" I had.

That being said, none of these changes are too bad. It'll take some adapting to but that's what makes the game fresh. I'm thinking the reason for the invincibility changes in the roll other than it being like that in the original is the fact that you can choose SoR3 rolling. That's just my guess.

There's a noticeable difference in Jet2 and Rocket that kind of makes them push overs at times, not sure about the tone down on the kickboxers, on one hand they were TOO good but now they're a bit of a pushover as well. Then again maybe Max is just OP no matter what as other characters have a bit of trouble with them I find. Elle is still godlike though.

I just find it incredibly tiring that when someone gets a FREE bag of 255 sweets, they complain that there is no green one.

People have opinions, some nonsensical others not so much. Free is not a factor, ultimately it's up to the creator what they want to change but not everyone is going to be pleased, as long as someone is respectful with their complaint or criticism I personally don't see the issue.
@Criss, how did you get the headache attack to work uninterrupted? The tactic also works with Elle, I'll just have to try something new with Max.

- Each stage can have a different set of breakable objects.
- If the stage is called stage1a.fpg the object should be named object1a.fpg.
- Replaces the original object only if the sprite exists in the new file, properties and sounds are the same.
- Objects will have no name or portrait, however you can attempt using frame 24/25 for just 1 name mounted in 1 sprite.
- A point of control on 000 is needed, X center, Y bottom point.

Okay, I could use some help about the control points.

Created the fpg object1a and placed anew object, but I don't know how to change the values of the control points as requested and how. I could really use some help how to do this.

Too late to the party,just finished reading the bugtrack list,good to see much of the attention was given to Sormaker,the AI tweaks will give newer possibilities to the Mods,amazing update all over.Can someone please upload the patch to mediafire or somewhere else coz' MEGA is blocked in my country.

Interesting to notice the weapon AI can be set to allow SoR2 punks to pick weapons up if they drop them...not part of the original game but nice from a logic/realism point of view. It would've been cool if options had been added for similar discrepancies, such as SoR2 fatties being throwable and SoR3 signals being immune when sliding. (so they can be tweaked to fit in with their counterparts from the other games)

I just post to say thank you. I don't know to whom, and I don't even know if they will read this message. but hey, we never say thank you enough to people who work hard to polish and improved one of the best btu of all time. I'm very busy and I only played once to the new upgrade so I have no opinion of the overall new balance. All I see is the hard work, the new possibility for mod makers, and lot of glitches eradication which is very welcomed both for the game and the community.

So yeah, thank you, definitly. Whoever you are, and whereever you are. I really hope to get back time to explore the new version, and spend time in mod making.

I too wonder who made this update. Isn't BomberLink the only one who can edit the game? But I thought that he said a long time ago that he wouldn't work on it anymore.

Anyway, the best thing about this update IMO is that it's now possible to save SoR Maker mods, as I like to play for short sessions. It really brought me back to this game and gave me a good reason to try all the mods made by the community.

So the person who made this update is awesome and has my deepest thanks. Smile

I'm even trying to revive and modify and unfinished project of mine from yesteryear now. These new features really breathed some new life into everything for me. Rather grateful, and it's amazing what you can do with this stuff now.
