Its Ruffian Games' SOR4 stage

Okay, some advice:
- Work in layers. Obviously the inside the Pine Pot is an interior. Keep it with transparency. Same goes inside the cafe. Put them signs in another layer.
- The custom sprite work needs gradient tones to give them depth and don't look like painted squares. Get rid of the black drawing lines so they can look consistent with the BKM style. Use the spriting style gradient from the original sources, too.
- Get rid of those arcade machines. They're ugly, oversized for the enemy scale and won't fit. Besides, You may need to separate the interior in another layer anyways.
- Put some frames on the cafe windows, too.
- Put a SORR standard character layer in your work place so you can measure the proportions of your stage: the far left custom door looks gigantic in proportion of the BKM door.
- If you can, change the palette colors of the structures so doesn't look like an obvious BKM Fighting Street rip off. This will give your stage identity.
Good job, getting there and it's starting to have shape.

I like it! The ground looks little off though, not sure how to put it but the front of the stage seems offset from the other half of the ground.JoyJoyfulRabbit wrote:Its SOR1 Dock stage. too lazy to resize the background... >_> suppose to be a bit small

That has nothing to do with what I said, I'm talking about the perspective of the stage, it looks flat, might be that center piece and how it's shaded.

The middle part is shaded the wrong way around compared to the rest of the floor.
That's what it is.
That's what it is.

I do like the tiling of the floor, though. The background area looks bit strange and can't figure out what is exactly.
Basically, the first layer of the scroller is great, just fix the shading so doesn't look out of place.

Still the wrong way around.
Looks like a deep gutter running along the middle because the light-dark is bottom-top compared to everything else, which is top-bottom.

Much better indeed! I'd also suggest making it thinner like you did in the 2nd concept here and it'll be perfect!JoyJoyfulRabbit wrote:CajNatalie wrote:Still the wrong way around.
