How to record Streets of Rage Remake footage...
How do I record Streets of Rage remake footage? I can't use Fraps with it.

Well i use Camtasia, although I have a paid version of it. I'm not sure if you can get a demo version or not.
Works a treat though.

Fraps cannot record non-DirectX app's screen. But it can grab fullscreen IIRC. So you can play SorR in fullscreen mode then record it.Lorenzo The Comic wrote:How do I record Streets of Rage remake footage? I can't use Fraps with it.
CamStudio is a freeware game recorder, you can also try it.
Wait! You have posted some videos before, right?
Not put the link yet I guess. But I think it is not quite necessary. BTW IDK how much effort has SEGA taken on this thing. But actually the game has been spreaded too much on the internet.TheWorldasd wrote:Just wondering, under the sticky for downloads, there is no link for sorR 5.0a, did sega pull it down again?

Recording Streets of Rage Remake
Yes, but I used different software for recording the SORR videos I currently have as of this post. SnagIt as one of them, but it can't render videos that are too long (or too big in file size, I'm not sure which). I also used Hourglass for PC game TAS's, but when running SORRv5 on Hourglass, the Stage Clear bonuses can't be skipped.

Version 5A?
I am quite curious as to why we are getting version 5a, as i thought that there would never be an update.

Re: Questions & How To's
From the modified date it seems like it happened around SEGA warning the team, maybe B hosted the file to some site's admin before he decided stop releasing the updates. But there're other possibilities, like B's computer got hacked.RuffNTumble wrote:I am quite curious as to why we are getting version 5a, as i thought that there would never be an update.

Widescreen.
This will hopefully help (or not) me and others.
I've had Sorr for around six months and never found a way to force the game wide. Is it possible.

Mania Ending question.
I'm making a new save game and I was wondering what things denied me the mania ending? I know there's no cheats allowed, nor are any save states but are there were any other restrictions for it?

Re: Questions & How To's
As far as i know cheats and save-states are the only things that prevent a Mania ending.

Will Anyone Ever Make A Wii Version?
I know that Sega killed SoRR quite a while ago but for years I've been hoping for a Wii port. I know it's not likely but does anyone know if someone out there is making a Wii version or perhaps if one already exists? Or even if there's someone capable of doing it to who the idea could be pitched to? Again, I know this is highly unlikely but it's always best to ask just in case. Thanks for your time.

There is no widescreen support.

Porting SorR to Wii would involve porting the language the game is written in, Bennu (itself a fork of FENIX), to Wii. There was a port in development around the time v5.0 was released, which had
reduced features due to Wii memory constraints. I guess you could ask on the main BennuGD forum (not sure of the URL). I have a hacked Wii so would also be very interested in a port, although it is unlikely at this stage. You could always connect your laptop to the tv via HDMI, I have done this many times and it looks fantastic.

This man speaks the truth

I have it run from my PC to my 42" TV and it's simply the best.

Like I said, that's what I normally do and it does look great but I don't like having to use my 360 controller when I prefer my GCN and Classic Controller Pro controller.

Re: Questions & How To's
Yeah the Classic Controller would be awesome to use for SorR. I was busy today playing Mega CD, CPS2 and PC Engine CD games on my Wii, old school heaven

Re: Questions & How To's
I have a question,
Is there a possibility of seeing more characters to play from v5? I remember playing ninjo on v4 and I loved it.
It made me wonder why I can't play as any enemy character I want.

V5 won't be developed upon anymore so we probably won't see that happening.

Hmm, well then I wonder, is it possible to hack the game, say, with cheat engine? so that I can play as any character already present in the game?
