Streets of Rage 4

Well I'm not sure whats going on with the very soon Dotemu tweeted last week but a few days ago Lizardcube tweeted they are having some small issues. So I just went to playasia and subscribed for Bare Knuckle IV notifications I feel like I will get something from them first at this point.


So clearly searching google for sor4 info isn't enough cause my brother just sent me this link on discord looks like Australia Nintendo eshop leaked the release date I so hope this is correct.

This was announced in light of the leak. The release date isn't confirmed and will likely change due to complications. Guess there's no better time than now to mention I've been helping out behind the scenes. The game is coming soon the when is still being deciphered.

I was literally just coming back to mention Dotemu release a new trailer lol. Very cool to hear your involvement Mr.Din that trailer is everything I've ever wanted.

This project's been one hell of a roller coaster lol. I'm surprised things were kept secret as long as they have been. There's still more to discover in the game though, I think you guys will like it.

I actually had to pinch myself a few times too make sure I wasn't dreaming lol the trophies definitely make sense now and were as I suspected. I am most interested in the

One of those new characters strangely looks like a fan character the SOROnline community made in the past years, is this a coincidence?

Regarding the release date spotted on Nintendo Eshop, I've also see the logo added to the PS Store, guess there must have been last minute complications.

About the retro chars and musics, it's pretty cool I guess and the light effects applied to the old sprites is neat!
I'm just glad they didn't go all the SORR way though because I think both games really need to stay their own thing.
SOR3 OST also deserves to be in !

The game is now on the US and Canada Nintendo eshop websites they have no release date like the European ones and strangely at least for me the game is the same price on the US and Canada pages if anyone else checks them out I'd like to know what it shows as the prices for you.For me it shows $31.49 which is over priced for USA and under priced for Canada.

I just checked again on the Xbox browser and it shows as $24.99 US and $31.49 Canada

If you go into the eshop through the switch in US or Canada Sor 4 is in the coming soon section now with an Estimated release date of 4 23 I added it to my Switch wishlist.

I was about to post the same video! I was a bit worried about this project, but it looks like the game evolved in the right direction - they heard the fans and critics. Having all the retro characters and the SOR-style music we see from this video, made it look a lot like a mix between SORRemake and a modern SOR!

Question: does the train stage from the video look a lot like the train stage from SORR or am I crazy?

I'll probably do a livestream on my YouTube channel on the 30th.

I'm curious to know what version of the game people are going for? I'll be getting Steam + the eventual Collector's Edition.

I will be playing the game on Xbox gamepass and will probably get it on Steam day 1 for the eventual mods that it will have and I am waiting for playasia to have the BK4 special edition for Switch.

I haven't been posting here much lately because pretty much anything worth posting is spoilery now and I am sure most people here check the twitter pages. But I did just read from Lizardcube that there are 5 difficulties so I thought that was worth knowing.

Some people are being overly strict on what spoilers actually are. I'd say revealing the difficulties isn't too bad, achievements maybe less so, but I guess those are something you'd check after clearing the game once anyway.

I've seen some of the levels, but it's all fairly out of context stuff, so playing it in its entirety will still feel new.
It's like when you're at a con/expo and you randomly pick up a game that someone else has left.

Can I expect to play this around 1PM EST tomorrow afternoon, or do they release them at a different time? I don't really follow release schedules for digital games all that much and this is the first time I've been eager to play a digital-only game on the first day since Sonic 4 (yeah I know, lol). Just asking since I plan to take some PTO for this.

Yw Saven it is currently out on Xbox in New Zealand and where ever else its at least 10am and I just read its out on PS4 in Europe.

Am i the only disappointed one?

Graphics: Choppy, blocky, cartoonish much?

Combat: Too cheesy, maybe? Too flashy, perhaps? Something like fake, crude, sloppy?

Of course, we need to see the real thing live and in action first, but from all the footage i 've watched, it feels like it doesn't hold a single candle to our Streets of Rage Remake, right here! Am i right or am i right?

This better be 3am now (when the west coast hits midnight) because it is NOT on PSN as of 1:53am EST, or else either DotEmu/Sony dropped the ball with that statement. Could've used a couple extra hours of sleep that I can't get now that I'm wide and awake.

I was hoping that the file system would be similar to the remake of Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap (another game made by Lizardcube), but no. All the textures (besides the loading screens) are compressed into one large file, and probably a smaller file. I couldn't get ww2ogg to convert the wem files either.

Yeah, I was hoping to play this tonight on the PS4 as well since I'm a second shift worker. It doesn't seem to be up still
