YAY~!
Did you add something new after my last beta run? I hope so, I love to be impressed.
downloading, time to play.
EDIT: Both the download link and the Mediafire links are crap that keep breaking. Any other mirrors? Trying... I dunno, Dropbox, MEGA or Google Files?

I am delighted with this fashion, I really liked the new locations, especially stage5 etap 1 beaches and further locations. Continue work on the new Cody, I was inspired and now have the strength to continue working on something my own)))
Thanks very much for this work!!!

I love it! Great job!
I've finished playing through the different routes, fantastic mod indeed, I love how the Crusher/Guillotine thing is replaced by several barrels chained up, I'll be doing some playthrough videos very soon, Currently working on something very awesome

Re: Streets of Rage: Rescue Metro City
Truthfully I only really concerned with the enemy placement and possibly better boss music. The rest was just simply my opinion, as mentioned before the story isn't really that big of a deal, I think that type of plot is played out but again my opinion. Anyway it looks like the mod is released and most importantly you looked at the enemy placement so I look forward to playing v3 hopefully sometime this week.Tarma wrote:Thank you for your feedback, Mr.Din, but now this is the beta 2 version, you don't have it. I built it with Don Vecta's advices. The final version is finished, excepted for the hub screen.
Enemy placement and music (for route 4) are now very different from the version you played. The plot remains the kidnapping and taking control of Metro City for Routes 1, 2 and 3 and the toxic gas for Route 4. Honestly, your feedback is very late. This means I have to find a new plot (with a new opening, very easy to make), send you the beta 2 version, wait a new feedback, make improvements. I am very bored with this mod, I begin to hate it. Really.
Anyways, I will read carefully your feedback in case there are advices for beta 2, but I am not sure.

Re: Streets of Rage: Rescue Metro City
Why, no credit for the redesigned/recolored areas? I know you didn't actually asked for them, but hey, just a little mention for the effort would be nice (I personally loved how did I redesigned Mr. Big's hideout).

Re: Streets of Rage: Rescue Metro City
Don Vecta is the only one who helped me to make some backgrounds. And I gave credit to him (credits and my apologies, here) in an edited (and final, I hope) version: http://ovh.to/q6MjrkL
People who helped me giving me a feedback for beta versions were already credited in the previous one.
I guess I don't understand what is "giving credit", if what I made is not enough.

Re: Streets of Rage: Rescue Metro City
Myself and my friend played this mod last night and both of use absolutely loved it, so much so we played the first 3 routes!!
I played the fourth route with cpu this morning and it is also excellent. A really well made mod that shows off all the SorMaker features

You're welcome, by the way i noticed that some of the music tracks don't loop, when I have a bit of free time I'll see if I can fix that for yaTarma wrote:

Re: Streets of Rage: Rescue Metro City
I played the two first routes and started the third one. Still a pleasure to rediscover this mod that was in my top, and that still is. I am not fond of tribute mods, but I love what we could name cross over mod, like this one or Sonic, Path of Shadow Dancer...
The story is very fun to follow, with all these guest stars (or little details like Mr. X in the crowd behind the ring). I also really like the corpses of Final Fight ennemies added in the background (I played so many average/poor mods that reused these backgrounds with corpses without understanding their meaning, so sad and frustrating). I like the high customization: breakable objects, sounds, letters, doors, grinds, glass, lamps, and of course Cody!
Only two little small disappointments: like Sshadow5001, the musics that don't loop, it makes unfinished (like SORR v4), and the training areas from the former version of the mod that disappeared (but maybe in the 4th route?).
So, a huge thank you for this work.
PS: I finished two routes, but the classic mod is still locked. I have something else to do?

Re: Streets of Rage: Rescue Metro City
As long as credits.png is being displayed after completing the mod and the classic version is unzipped and present in your mod-> games folder it should unlock. Did for me anyway.
What is the classic version by the way, just an older version of the mod?

Re: Streets of Rage: Rescue Metro City
Here's my Playthrough of Route 2 using Shiva from SoR2, This time I played Very Hard difficulty. I still haven't used the correct enemy pallets, This'll be fixed in Route 3 and 4.
Re: Streets of Rage: Rescue Metro City
The training mode is no longer in the mod. Route 4 needed a lot of space. I did not wanted it as an "under-route", but as a true, long route.vince wrote:Only two little small disappointments: like Sshadow5001, the musics that don't loop, it makes unfinished (like SORR v4), and the training areas from the former version of the mod that disappeared (but maybe in the 4th route?).
Indeed, it's an older version with old graphics and - looped! - musics (like on Capcom Play System for Route 1).Charco wrote:What is the classic version by the way, just an older version of the mod?
Sshadow5001, thank your for the video.
Re: Streets of Rage: Rescue Metro City
wait...does that mean the music tracks are not looped on purpose?Tarma wrote:Indeed, it's an older version with old graphics and - looped! - musics (like on Capcom Play System for Route 1).Charco wrote:What is the classic version by the way, just an older version of the mod?
Re: Streets of Rage: Rescue Metro City
Yes. I wanted to be next to my Final Fight favorite soudtracks: the Mega CD's ones. Maybe I will make a small DLC.Sshadow5001 wrote:wait...does that mean the music tracks are not looped on purpose?Tarma wrote:Indeed, it's an older version with old graphics and - looped! - musics (like on Capcom Play System for Route 1).Charco wrote:What is the classic version by the way, just an older version of the mod?

Re: Streets of Rage: Rescue Metro City
Tarma baby, what a MOD. I am not the biggest fan ever of Final Fight, but this is incredible the level of detail in the MOD is outstanding. Everything is well animated as well, and the choice of music is great (love the remix of Chinatown from Revenge Of Shinobi). Though if there is one slight let down, not the most difficult of MODS. I am not a very good Streets Of Rage player but did get through route 4 on Mania with still 6 lives left. but I am nit picking now the MOD is incredible well done Tarma and thank you.
