With this little utility you can create cutscenes easily and in a few seconds without needing to worry about the limitations of the cutscenes, having to know the portraits IDs, etc.

*New in v2.5.1
-Added masks to the text entries. If this program doesn't "like" something you are trying to write, it's because it would cause problems on the game.
-Added support for custom portraits (I have provided an example in the download).
-Added support for the new options added on sorr v5.1.
-Added support for the ending cutscenes.
-A few minor tweaks and fixes.

*New in v2.5
-Updated for 5.0a. If you want to see a cutscene without a portrait but with the frame, now you'll have to use the 002 portrait (yep, it's compatible with the v5.0), now the ID 000 is without the frame.
-Added an option for "updating" all the 000 IDs to 002 (in one or various .txt). If you don't like the new feature in 5.0a, you can use this.
-Added a close button in the preview screen

I have noticed that the frame can be disabled ONLY in the first message, if try to disable it later, it won't work. If you disable it, it cannot be enabled again in that cutscene and you will see the portraits without frame.


*New features in v2:
- Now you can edit existing cutscenes (change, add or remove messages)
- You can preview the entire cutscene
- Added french translation (thanks to Iceweb38)

*Other changes in v2:
- Added the filename at the bottom of the program
- Now the program is multilanguage
- Fixed a bug from V1: you could overwrite an existing file if you leave "Cutscene number" blank
- Now you can't exit the application using the "Esc" key

About FPG Optimizer...

Just drop both files on your SorR folder, open it, and wait a little until it finishes compressing the fpg files of your mods. It will decrease greatly their file size.

I DON'T TAKE CREDITS ABOUT THE OPTIMIZER, it was made by "someone else" that knows a lot about Bennu.

About the support for custom portraits... Create a .txt file with a ID +*space*+name per line, like this:

You can add the portraits if you want but they aren't necessary. Just paste a png pic, with the ID as name, in the same folder where the .txt file is. For example:

Load the .txt file in Cutscene Maker (using the "Load portraits" option), and you are done.

Yeah, it's like the "Compressor for FENIX" option on FPG Edit, but much better. It compress every fpg file of every mod you have, with just opening the utility.

I cannot use properly the custom portraits. I have followed all intructions (I think) with .png pictures with 44*44 pixel size. I gave them IDs from 500.png to 510.png and I named them in a .txt file.

When I use the "Aperçu" (Preview) function, it works perfectly. Ingame there is no portrait, only an empty frame with text.

I put .png pictures and .txt file in the main folder, in the mod folder, in the script folder... No way, no portrait appears ingame.

Create a fpg file named "portrait" (no quote signs). And there place all your png's of 44*44 and numbered from 500 onwards and place this fpg in the script folder.

Then use the rest of the procedure. Cool

This is a very good tool, despite the fact that I had one of the first versions, but unfortunately I have lost files with this tool, so is there any chance for fresh and working link from anyone? Sad (any version would be great).

As a new user to SoRR and to Cutscene Maker, right off the bat I'm not able to get a few things working (there is a serious lack of documentation online, so I'm asking here).

I'm using version 2.5.1...

Issue 1: Preview doesn't work
Clicking on the  "Preview" option results in a separate window briefly showing up for a split second, then disappears.

Issue 2: Unsure how to get cutscene to appear in modded game
I saved a test cutscene in the same directory as my mod and named it "stage1a".  When I go to load up the game, the cutscene doesn't appear before the lvl starts....is there anything inside of SorMaker that I need to implement for the cutscene to appear?
