Finally back from Bulgaria with my new bronzed body Razz

Wasn't too bad, everyone said it was dirt cheap out there so i must have been in the wrong place because it wasn't when i was there. Some things were a lot more worse price wise than the UK...and that's saying something. Cigs and beer were the only things cheaper than the going rates.

The beach was just AMAZING though; golden sand, too hot to walk bare foot on, the sea was calm and inviting...best thing about the place.

If only Burgas airport wasn't completely heaving with people it might have been a more pleasant trip back. Never had a check-in experience like i had there yesterday...just awful.

Good to be back though Smile

Mine begin on August the 1st and the destination will be Thailand... so yeah, Muay Thai, temples, beaches, chicks with surprise sausages (eek~!), the works...

Man, it's helluva cheap in there! Booked plane tickets and hotels in prices that in China would cost me 5 times its price! Those 15 days I'm spending with half my salary will be with certain luxury... or at least well off, that's for damn sure.

Ok, rant time:

Ordered a replacement blu-ray laser mechanism for my PS3 from a company on Amazon (fuck buying a new super shitty slim...or sending my baby off to Sony at £130 charge to be fixed when the fix i need is £18 with easy DIY)

They sent out the part in a small jiffy bag...a JIFFY BAG Rolling Eyes

Idiots. No surprise when it arrived already damaged, I even heard it thud onto my concrete step from the letter box. Anyway, got onto them - said yeah damaged in transit and they said send it back to be "checked"...so i did.

Only got an email a few days later saying the damage was obviously caused by me and they wont be giving me another Mad

I nearly hit the roof when i read that. So after sending back a stinging reply I opened a case against them on Amazon, plus left them a shocker feedback AND wrote an email to UK trading standards ( Laughing

a bit extreme but damn i was pissed)

So yeah, complete twats!...and my PS3 sits in a broken heap in the corner for a few more week probably Had Enough

Funny thing is their record is pretty good, I can't understand it. The product feedback is mostly "Fixed my PS3 back to brand new, love it!" and the company feedback is like 97% positive. They must have obviously just dropped the ball with me.

In effect it's my word against theirs, but since I'm the one who actually knows whether i did damage it myself (I didn't) I think as the customer i deserve a little trust and benefit of the doubt, plus also for £18 which is a lot to me but not much to a company. I've heard Amazon usually sides with the buyer so I'm keeping my hopes up; I should get an answer sometime early next week.

I know this might sound weird but the lowest I usually go as far as trust goes is 98%. Anything lower than that and I consider them suspicious and I overlook them.

Yeah not half. It's put back my GTAV pre-order not knowing when or if I'll get it fixed.

Ouch, that really sucks. Really hope everything goes well because nobody can afford to miss out on GTAV. Hell I even went so far as to pre-order the collectors edition (though it means I won't be buying any other games for a while Embarassed

).

Also, I might be able to recommend another site. I used http://dx.com/ to order a pandora battery for my PSP a while ago and had no issues. The only sites I purchase hardware from are them (DealeXtreme) and Newegg. Amazon, I only use for some new games and non-electronic items.

Amazon found in my favour and gave me a full refund; I ordered another replacement part from another seller...at a cheaper price; Fitted it tonight and my PS3 lives on!

No longer does it idle like nothing has happened when i put a disc in...No longer just a broken heap in the corner. £18 and fixed like new Very Happy

Now where's that GTAV pre-order button....

I honestly don't get the last one at all, there isn't anything there that I would consider worth playing.
