In this game, you use 3 characters and depending on which character you use, the game style changes: a side scroller shoot'em up, a shoot'em up like space harrier (you see the character from behind) or a fighting game.

It sounds a TON like the between-stages music for Maximum Carnage. I only played it on the SNES. Is it really that different on the Genesis?

In fact it is! Honestly I prefer the genesis version, it's creepier and more badass. Definitely a track that deserves a modern remix.
