The first one is I believe an improvement of the original blue palette made by Criss (correct me if I'm wrong Criss). I thought the skin looked weird so I changed it.
The second is originally a palette for Onihime/Yasha from SOR1 that was made by Criss and which I thought was excellent so I ported it to SOR1 Blaze.
The third is the only one I realised all by myself. Fans of Mighty Morphins Power Rangers will surely guess who I was trying to recreate with that palette

Some may think that almighty shiva is a terrible palette, but there is a technical reason for me to use it.
My secret is revealed now: lighter palettes increases your concentration and focus on the game, you actually react faster.
My gameplay improved quite a lot when I started using this almighty character. Also I tried the devil palette and I were terrible playing with it. I have a friend who did almighty versions for other characters and confirmed that his gameplay improved as well.

Didn't really like the way this one turned out either for that matter.

Now Max:

I decided to jump on the Incredible Hulk bandwagon as well. lol. The others in this thread are better than mine though IMO.

For those of you who watched the Cartoon, Dexter's Laboratory, you may remember "The Justice Friends". This pallete is based on the Incredible Hulk ripoff, The Infragable Krunk. And yes, Krunk is supposed to have purple hair.

Finally, SOR 2 Shiva:

Not sure what I was going for here. I guess I was just trying to create a flashy alternate color. The results were rather mixed IMO

Also, sorry Emthree, I did this too. Your's looks better shaded than mine but the brightness isn't as good. Of course I made this pallete so I'm just probably saying that for that reason. I'll let other people in the thread be the judge though. =P

A more pale colored Blaze with red hair. Not bad IMO.

Sunny Delight and Kel would be proud.

This is probably one of the best I've made. Went for a light pinkish color for the brightest part of the leg instead of the usual white. Not sure if I could get any better than that...any suggestions would be appreciated.

It seems Iceweb and I had the yellow color in mind, but I didn't think of the chick that played the yellow ranger when I made this (though I was thinking along the lines of Asian female :p). I have some hints of green in it to make it look like an official get-up.

SoR2 and BK3 Blazes' palettes are now less ugly. Adam gets a minor change in his darkest shade.
Contains bonus palettes for both Skates. One is an edit to BK3 Skate's default blue palette to make the skin match up more with his normal colors, the other is an edit to SoR2 Skate's default blue palette to make it match up more with BK3 Skate's default blue palette. Huff.

Adam, with a pallete heavily based off of Axel's SOR 3 US prototype 2p Duel Mode pallete design. Even using the same RGB values in some places.

This pallete is Axel's SOR 3 US 2p Duel mode pallete applied to Ash. Turns out that Axel's 2p pallete in the March 08th proto and the final US version are the same 2p pallete. Axel's pallete mappings were changed so it simply displays differently. However, if you look in both the March 08 prototype and final US version roms, you'll notice that the palletes are identical in every way. Anyway, I decided to make Ash as is. the blue spots kind of hurt the pallete a little but at the same time add to the authenticity.

This is Axel using Zan's 2p pallete. As you'll notice, his hair's blue which looks funny but I liked this pallete.

This is Axel with Ash's CPU pallete. I got him to use this pallete by using a PAR code on BKIII DC 1.5.1's character select in duel mode. Pretty cool huh? I just took a screenshot, then used Gimp to get the exact RGB values. Same for the rest of these palletes. I used Fusion for the screenshots too btw.

Axel with Sammy's BKIII 2P pallete. love the camo colored Jeans IMO.

A more accurate version of Axel's SOR 3 US March 08th 1994, beta pallete. The only color I changed was the small instance of blue on his legs because while the other characters have it, it doesn't look nearly as bad as Axel using it on his pants do.

Axel with Blaze's BKIII 2p pallete. Not much else to say here.

You can tell by now I'm obviously obsessed with this pallete. lol. Made the colors more close to the actual SOR 3 US proto version.

A fixed Infragable Krunk pallete

A fixed Incredible Hulk pallete.

Not only do I have an obsession with Axel's SOR 3 US prototype 2p pallete, I also seem to give bright colors to most of my characters.... I guess I'm attracted to bright colors as well as flourescent. Just look at Mr.X's tie. Highlighter Yellow.

A rather poor attempt to apply Skate's US SOR 3 pallete with BKIII Mappings.

Once again, hacked the BKIII ROM to get Sammy to use Axel's SOR 3 US 2p pallete and replicated it with the method shown a few times above.

A Custom made SOR 2 Shiva pallete with him using Axel's SOR 3 US prototype 2p Pallete.

DBZ styled SOR 3 Shiva.

Another accurate to the game SOR 3 US Axel 2p pallete replication.

This one is of Victy using that pallete as well.

And last but not least, we have Zan using this pallete.

I have to say that creating these palettes was a demanding task, and it proved to be much more difficult than I had anticipated at first. The idea was to give each palette fresh and unique look that didn't replicate any previous ones in terms of hair and outfit color.

I can't share the palette's file at the moment as I don't really know how to! Sorry about that! It's easy to make as she uses nearly all of the colours from Adam's default palette.

Thanks Solie I just wish Adam didn't already HAVE a sibling 'cause otherwise it kinda fills the game with his family lol. Guess it makes up for his absense in SoR 2 and 3 though!

Oh Yeah! I'm not alone in doing that! I made the twins use Blaze's colour once and renamed them 'Blaze Clones' in the name editor. Inspiration from the fact that we fight robo Axel in SoR 3. Though sadly it only worked for the clones you fight on Stage 8 of SoR 1 since you can't edit the colour of the clones on Stage 5 with it being their default and all.

Again the stats are false, she's written as though she's a different character. I play her as a character who rolls a lot and walks/runs around her enemies and strikes sneakily. She uses the end of Blaze's combo a lot too to knock her enemies down.

I just had to have a go at making a nymph palette for Elle . Also made some final adjustments to others and the chrome latex imitation is about as perfect as I can get it in-game. I would truly appreciate it if someone could try to make it better!

SoR 1 Blaze's legs always looked too thick so I take the liberty of 'trimming' them on all my palettes.

Roo's fur looked a bit metallic. Fixed.

Ah I'm sorry the upload went tails up. Is it just Nymph's palette that was garbled or was Java's too? I haven't changed their palettes. Perhaps I had the game running when I uploaded them? If that makes a difference. Could've just been an upload fault I guess.

I made some new ones too These aren't character based so I haven't made bios or given them names. I haven't really got a 'theme' for my previews of normal palettes. I'll work on them. I'm trying to think of some good palette names for them though.

My hopes for the Old School, or Sepia as it's commonly known, is that one day I'll learn how to use that damned FPG editor and I'll make a storyline that involves the characters from the present (sor3) going to their pasts (sor1 sepia recolours) and having to stop Mr.X who has time traveled to try and kill them to stop them from beating him in all the later games. That's one of my ideas for them anyway.

Am I right in thinking two players can play custom mods? If that's the case then the ideal team would be like
SoR3 Blaze + SoR 1 Blaze Sepia
SoR3 Axel + SoR 1 Axel Sepia
etc etc

Anyway that's just a pipeline dream at the moment. I tried to work FPG out once and it gave me one hell of a headache

Anyway I'll go work on those palettes now. Sorry for all the mixups.

Though nobody hold their breaths for an SoRMaker thing with the storyline I had planned for it. I might try it some day but I'm too busy at the moment to devote time to it Maybe in a few weeks I'll sit down and try and figure FPG out. Anyone have any tips on how to make your own stages? I'd rather not use one from another game (or if I did it would be heavily edited.) There's a chance a lot of my storyline would feature SoR 1 stages too.

Anyway I might post some more palettes up later I want to do some colourful ones after working on Sepia for so long lol

Also I love that Break palette I'm gonna use that I think in my next playthrough.

I think my Elle previews were in 2xNormal mode My Sepias... I'm not sure to be honest I can't remember. I take screencaps in different modes.
I tend to edit them in 2xNormal mode, 1: because it's easier to make out the colours I'm changing, 2: because if I'm copying colours from another character/enemy then normal mode is the easiest way to pick the colours from them. But sometimes I don't change.

I tend to play in HQx2 a lot though.

Though lately I've played in 2xNormal and Scanlines to see what it's like and I kinda like them Scanlines made my Java palette look awesome. I play in windowed mode since I nearly always have other things on the go as well. I bet fullscreen is great.

Which reminds me I have some new palettes on the way later today All SoR 1 Blaze I think... Damn I need to leave her alone I think there's 1 SoR 1 Axel too but it's not very good. I'll edit them into this post probably.

Now when I first put her in Elle's Palette, I thought "nah she looks bad" but after a while I got to liking her. Believe it or not, somehow I PLAYED better with her :S I think maybe that person who said brighter palettes sharpen your senses was right.

Axel Palette looks a LOT like my Elle Palette so you might want to only use one at a time. The only difference is that Axel's colours are slightly darker and more vivid. Any more palettes I make today will be edited into this post.

Uh, pardon if this one looks risque. Had the idea of using the strange tints/shines of Blaze3's limited palette to make it look like, well, the old savage style of Jennifer 'bursting/ripping' her outfit in the process of becoming the She-Hulk, hence deliberate 'skin' visible through her gloves, boots, skirt and top. Unfortunately, the animation frame used in the color editor happened to highlight two particular pixels which make it look, well...I wasn't trying to make Blaze 'bare anything' here. <:
#4 - 'Jetta Maxx' (Eternal Champions) Blaze1
More or less an extraction of Jetta's actual sprite colors from EC1 as Blaze. Fits decently in my view (as an aside, yeah, I'm an EC fan, might be working on sprites like this for the rest of the EC cast: SOR2 Zamza for Slash, Kickboxer for RAX etc).
#5 - 'Marina' Blaze1
Just an original color set.

It could be TinyPic messed up your images. One day in last year minus.com messed up my uploaded images, they were replaced by some other images on their server (I think it is an accident on tech). One of them is replaced with a X-ray photo, my friends feel so strange when seeing that (they had seen the image a few times, and in one day it suddenly changed).

But lookie lookie! I have returned! I never really left actually. I just stopped posting Mostly because my main posts were palletes and I stopped designing them on a big scale.

However I've never stopped playing. In fact lately I'm having trouble doing anything except play SoRR I played it so much that I decided I should probably really participate here a LOT more. After trying once more to see if I have any hope of using SoR Maker - and failing - I figured I should focus more on what I CAN do.

Anyway, this IS the palettes thread and whilst I won't be making any fancy preview images anymore, I WILL be posting the occasional palette.

I am a HUGE fan of Mortal Kombat and Jade was always my favourite character. So, it was only natural that one day I would make a palette based on her:

The palette does actually use colours from UMK3 Jade's sprite so that it is as accurate as can be. I love playing with this palette as an alternate to my brighter greens. ^_^ Consider this my come-back gift and the promise that I will try not to be so anti-social this time and actually stick around.

First up, Axel. Nothing too impressive but I've not seen a sea green around here.

As we all know, Blaze 2 is a bit inflexible, but I rather like how the colors turned out. My green is like a higher saturated sea green. Still, Electric Blue is my favorite.

I'm particularly proud of how the first two Roos turned out.

Got a bit of inspiration from Catwoman

Tried giving Shiva's robes a draconian theme. His special's colors reflect each dragon's breath and attempted a dragon eye effect at the edge of his sleeves.

Was a bit sloppy previously

I was pretty unhappy that the first versions of these palettes had poor Blitz 0 & 1 effects. Commando lost the camo pants, unfortunately, but Hunter Killer turned out better than the original, in my opinion.

Those are the first ones I did, and I agree they fit so well. As for the others it was just me having fun and so I wanted to share, so that others may get even better ideas and modify them to look even better.

Jeah java one is cool but also ash. I always had trouble with getting the right color for the skin. A pity that the editor doesn't have a copy function (does it?)

Nope, would have to open the image in Paint or whatever and get the RGB values for each colour.

I got all warm and fuzzy just now knowing that after all this time people still and use like my work.
For your kindness I had hoped to share not just those palettes, but all of the ones I made, however I just went into my palettes folder to wrap them all up in a gift box (rar folder, lol) and discovered that, aside from Java (which I'm assuming you probably have by now?), I apparently deleted the other 2 you requested some time ago along with a bunch of others Sad

Sorry sbout that man. I don't know why I did that since I liked the Elle colour and I was always playing with the Teen Idol but neither of them are in my game files anymore either. I guess I probably had a Depression Day and decided I hated all my work and then deleted most of it.
