Is there a way to remove the limitation of palettes?

I know they are limited to 7 but we have so many cool palettes to add but the limitation leaves us replacing them.
When I copy like slum8.pal to the palettes\enemies folder of SORR, I doesn't come in color section of editor as the eighth palette.
Is there a way to remove the limitation?

you can try to separate the colors using hex editing and a image editing software. i dont know exactly how to do it, but i believe theres a guide somewhere here on the forums
