I think that this mod is very unusual and here is an introduction to unusual graphics from above. Playing without a partner is recommended. Great game!

Re: SoRR v5.2 - 0077 by Serrr.
Excuse me sir, but have you tested it out? Are you sure if this MOD is balanced and not "hardcore type MOD" ???
Because, after playing this, I think there are 3 problems with this MOD :
- Some objects are looks identical with the background, so it's hard to differentiate if object is real or just part of the background. Therefore, missing an item here is unavoidable.
- Some stages can't "hold" items. Whenever enemies drop their items, they just disappear on the ground and can't be picked
- Some bossess are very tricky to beat, especially R.Bear on water section, I lost so many lives on there, ouch !!!
Is that all? Nah, I'm just kidding. Aside from what I mentioned above, there is one BIGGEST PROBLEM in this MOD. Some sections are containing too many enemies throughout the way and the stage itself is way too long, which makes me face the real threat of this MOD :
ROUND TIMER
Seriously, when I'm playing this, I died more than 3 times just because my timer reach zero. 99 seconds is not enough to complete some sections. That's why I'm asking you once again : Have you really tested it out? If yes, are you playing without a timer (not my favourite ones, btw) ? And what character you're using on? Overpowered character such Max or Shiva? Because I'm using Adam on my playthrough, and Adam is not too strong, but not as weak as Axel.
Overall, I got game over. Thanks for the MOD

I downloaded Serrr's latest mod, titled Streets of Rage: 0077, last night via my Android television set's Internet connection, installed the files to the 'mod/games' directory on my computer and tried playing it this afternoon.
After witnessing the overhead view, it was challenging to even play the mod, as I tried to keep the character's pace up by repeatedly pressing UP or DOWN to roll, or running diagonally, just to defeat the adversaries or to collect bonus items such as snacks or treasure (it was even more difficult to destroy some objects unless certain moves were performed). In some cases, the enemies will still attack the player, even at the other side of the stage due to the layout that is not usually designed for a side-scrolling brawler.
The Genesis-style music featured in 0077 (as in the Sega Genesis console, not the 70s-80s rock band of the same name) plays a key role that portrays a typical 16-bit game, except for the wide-screen (16:9) aspect ratio, which makes this mod fully compatible with SoRR 5.2 and any future updates to the application.
Also, would anyone remind Serrr to please erase the 'COMPLETED.SOR' file from his future projects after playtesting, otherwise those who download his mods would think it has already been completed after installation (said file should never exist anyhow). About the file named COMPLETED.SOR, I am getting tired of having to delete it every time I install a mod!!

I felt it too.
The game became unbalanced, I saw no point in scrolling down.
the scenery disrupts the game several times.
the enemies are very fast and it's hard to hit them, the weapons disappear all the time.

I wish it was possible to hit fallen enemies.
That would be a huge differentiator

Re: SoRR v5.2 - 0077 by Serrr.
Such thing occurs when the buffer is full, i. e. when the items on the ground are too numerous to be visible and/or usable. They don't really "disappear" (they aren't "gone for good"), rather they become invisible and endowed with the parameter "You can't take it". But they are still there, and when some items really go away from the ground for some reason (being taken/eaten by the fighters... Or self-destructing being used up... etc.), then some of the "temporarily encrypted" items become visible and "pickable" again.Persephone wrote:- Some stages can't "hold" items. I am not able to do something more than that, I can't help it; sorry to everyone. I meant no offense.
If I ever publish my "wannabe mods", I will GLADLY (and by default) allow any skilled modders to edit/update/improve such mediocre works AS THEY WANT TO... not changing the plot/scenario/dialogue, however... except with my special permission. The point is, it's the only thing I know how to do.

Re: SoRR v5.2 - 0077 by Serrr.
???
Why is the thread headlined as "5.2 - 0077"?
It seems to me that this game (generally rather interesting to me!) just can't be completed on 5.2.
When the gullible man (me) tried to complete it on 5.2, enemies just didn't appear (or didn't appear in time) on 6-2 and 7-1 sublevels.
What the...?! Really never been tested, or what??
...And I successfully completed the game on Easy mode, on 5.1.

And...
...as always, I was bored with no distinct plot...
...after all, the game isn't named "Bounty Hunters", it's named "0077", for some reason!..
...so I allowed myself to invent such a plot and to add into [my copy of] the game such a text:
1a_0
Code 0077! The government needs you again, Team Rage. The public enemies made a bio lab at a North base. Arrest their leader. He answers to Dr.Dahm. Try not to kill Flick's men, we need to interrogate them.
2a_0
A new threat! Frederik is preparing a dangerous necromancy ritual. Be warned, the Haku-Oh clan is protecting him!
3a_0
Wayne is gathering something like a private army. Stop him. Try to get evidence, otherwise the investigation will stall.
4a_0
Mona tries to bring something important to the Syndicate HQ. Arrest her and commandeer it.
5a_0
Brutus is at the man-eating again! He must not be allowed to walk free! But bikers and truckers will protect him, the Syndicate pays them handsomely.
6a_0
Rawan was working for the Syndicate and 'covering' Brutus. Trying to earn himself a pardon, Rawan told us a lot of interesting things... Illegal fights again, in one of banana republics. And, OF COURSE, a torture chamber, and a secret lab. And who's in charge of all that?.. The old 'friend' of yours, Pavel Shulakov aka Big Bear!
7a_0
That's not all. In the canyon nearby, there may be another of their carefully hidden secret bases. Abadede is another 'star' of these illegal fights, and he was repeatedly seen in that canyon...
8a_0
Finally, you have the chance to stop you arch-enemy! X seems to be still alive...or, rather, AGAIN! And only devil knows what X plans to do to Great Wood River...
