Today is a great day i  just finished testing stage 8..... it was a flawless victory of a test so in conclusion the mod is pretty much done.. dropping a download VERY soon

streets of rage redux is here



streets of rage redux is a streets of rage remake mod made by me.i made the stage design using mostly photopea(photoshop but free and on website) at stage sprites from neo geo games capcom and saga genesis games and put them into one stage.
the story is simple is pretty much the story of the 1st game but just a little bit different.

i took elements from all 3 streets of rage games.

the palattes and names are default palettes.

i will release a video of each stage at a later date

a special thx to don vecta for giving me permission for using some of his resources from his streets of rage remake mod "H.U.N.T.E.R"

This is very good news! I will make sure to tune in to your premier, but I still don't want to spoil the whole mod before I play it. Maybe I'll just watch part of it.

Was really fun seeing the mod in action. A lot of nice visual ideas and even some update ideas during the premiere that will be exciting to see in future. I'm fairly confident I can make an album out of it in future. lol Great work so far.

I found at one point the mod softlocked at the end of the train interior. When I reloaded my state I was able to progress.
It may have been triggered by my positioning. I think I was at the right edge on the first attempt, more in the middle on the second.

Here's my first attempt with a couple of quickfixes I did. We're halfway to fix other graphical errors in and there, but sure it will be ready soon. The mod has enormous potential.

I agree with Don,there are so many things that can be done to this mod,heck maybe add a few thing to certain parts of stages.

Maybe add some missing things to it,maybe a SoR Redux 2 & 3?

I think sequel mods are a ways off. I'd just like to see how this one changes.

...and maybe a SOR4 demake. lol

But staying on topic, I'd personally like to see some more walking transitions. There are instant screen swipes where there don't need to be.
Other things would just be added visuals or interactions in the stages, like when we mentioned breakable turnstiles for the subway section.
I would also be more in favour of alternate routes within this mod rather than sequels. If the overall idea is still a rework of SOR1, then I guess that wouldn't work. But I see the mod as more of a trilogy blend.

on the 42nd minute of the video, you can see that I could not go further, but I found a way to get out of this trap. Thanks for the lovely mod, it's a great time.

Yeah, working on the new patches as we speak, some bug fixes, scaling for advanced players, graphical error fixes and some graphical updates to some areas. Shouldn't take too long, so stay tuned.
