question about star moves?

what's the difference between having them on the X button and B button? It seems like nothing changes as i am able to do star moves with either buttons whether I have it set to X or B. Please help.

With X button you can use any of the three level blitz attacks at anytime ( as long as you have enough stars) with the appropriate directional input, with the B button you can only use the one attack with amount of stars you have. I.E with B button and 2 stars you can only use level 2 blitz, with X button you have a choice of either level 1 or level 2 blitz.

Also you could of found this information out in the questions and how to section of forum.

Actually... it effects what button is use when you earned the stars. When set to B it works just like SoR3/BK3 where it replaces your standard blitz at every upgrade, you can use fwd fwd B or B while running to use it. X button setting moves it to the X Button, from what I remember you can only use upgrades while running in this mode but it allows you to use your standard Blitz attack by using B at anytime. Both modes allow you use the upgrades at anytime using the directional inputs. I prefer using the X Button setting because it offers more options.

The exception to this is weapons...if you're holding one then you can press X and do a basic blitz instead of the weapon blitz.
