Re: Cars, guns and chicks: The Grand Theft Auto thread.
just a comment guys... i love gta and in special their mods like the back to the future hill valley over the gtavice city.
but i have to admit it... iam amazed of see the new gtas.
in ps3 the gta iV was great with those very good graphics. only the textures not was good, because it cant be perfectly maked for not overpass the console limits.
but i saw one shot or video of the new gta for the new playstation and i thinked that it was a movie o real images...
honestly i cant believe the reality of some today videogames like this. in a few years or from now, we cannot difference the reality and videogames. is just incredible...!
i must see more of that for can see more details...

I just played the "By the book" mission (yes, i go slow, I take my time).... and...
- Spoiler:
- I guess this is the first time I feel a bit uncomfortable playing a GTA mission. Torture? Seriously? Maybe a tough or a badass fucker who made your life miserable would have a better effect, but working for the FIB and extract info with torture... didn't feel it alright.

Now I know what the cops remind me of. Super Street Fighter II Turbo's AI.
These are the best trained cops I have ever seen.

Re: Cars, guns and chicks: The Grand Theft Auto thread.
Cops are really serious in this game lol...I like it like that. On a related note, that's the only female cop I've seen in the game so far sadly, never had one in LSPD colours on me yet.
And in other news, I completed this game last night ...and they weren't kidding about the credits rolling for a full 36 minutes, damn. Clearly a lot of people had a hand in this. But yeah, really enjoyed the story and wish it went on longer for sure.
Game isn't over for me though, I'm staying on this until I've done literally everything and seen all corners of the map.

Re: Cars, guns and chicks: The Grand Theft Auto thread.
Okay, I couldn't take it anymore. GTAV Online looks so badass that right now i just ordered full broadband at home (finally!!) for when it hits. I've been sick of not being able to game online at home for months and months now that this has tipped me over the edge. October 1st is the earliest they can fit it which is perfect for the GTAO launch. Can't wait to tear it up with the Bombergames crew!
Really?...So if i just go up there and dish out the pain i get a nice reward? This has caught my interest.Don Vecta wrote:

Re: Cars, guns and chicks: The Grand Theft Auto thread.
- Spoiler:
- Option C, as I felt that Franklin would never go after and kill one of his own friends and no one in their right mind would choose the other options and would refuse the choice by the asshole FIB agents. Turns out that this was pretty much the 'intended' ending considering how much effort was put into this choice compared to the other two, as I saw later. Glad to see that everyone in that ending is still alive and has money because I really had a bad feeling that you would always lose at least one of the characters no matter what ending you chose and you would lose all of your money and would be homeless based on what some 'not so thoughtful of others and keeping spoilers inside their own topic and not in the title itself' people alluded to on GameFAQs. Glad to see that was wrong though.
As for the other choices though, yeah....they suck. Not only do you lose one of your playable characters, but there was no thought behind these last missions either and only last for about 3 minutes compared to the 30-60 minute long last mission that Choice C brings you. And whacking either Michael or Trevor is a lot easier than it should be. I hated Option B the most because Franklin went from "Ok man, I respect you Michael" to "Fuck you Michael, you have always used me!" in less than a second. Completely out of character.
But yeah, Option A & B. The obvious bad endings, but boy do they suck. Option C is a helluva lot better, but I felt that the ending itself could've been about 5 minutes longer, I felt that Trevor and Michael resolve their conflict a little too quickly for my tastes.

Re: Cars, guns and chicks: The Grand Theft Auto thread.
- Spoiler:
- Same as me, there was only one option that fitted IMO. I did save it before the mission but haven't played option A or B yet...pretty much because i don't want to see either of those two get killed like that, sounds really shitty. The Trevor death ending (I've read it up) sounds the worst of all though, very badly done indeed there.
Also as you say you do lose a character which is shit, and it just doesn't add up right those other two. Glad i made the right call first time. I also agree that the ending was kinda sudden..with Trevor and Michael making up far too quick like you say.
Anyway, that's that i suppose.

I'm just gonna say that I did the same as you two.
But I also just read the new game informer preview of GTA Online, and I'm fucking blown away. The expansiveness of this online mode is insane. Once again I have no idea how I'm gonna balance out my life with this game being a part of it.

Another note: Just dressed Michael up in the Special Ops outfit with Advanced Rifle in hand and full body armour. Went on my my own personal mission into Fort Zancudo for the Military jet and wow...talk about a fire fight. Went in 10 times!, got the jet 3 times because first time it stalled on the way home and second i broke the landing gear like 2 feet outside my hanger ...But yeah that outfit is perfect for that stuff, looks awesome.

Re: Cars, guns and chicks: The Grand Theft Auto thread.
Hvae you guys feel the same about drive-bys being harder to control? For me I have a hard time doing drive-bys while in GTA IV/Episodes was one of the safest ways to kill people for me.
Also, hanging out with friends in GTA V feels so dull and there's not much to do together, plus, there's no benefits from doing so, don't you think?

I kinda know what you mean about the drive-by. I find shooting at anything while in car rather clumsy.Don Vecta wrote:Hvae you guys feel the same about drive-bys being harder to control? About the friends though, yeah. In IV you got the rewards but in this you get nada. Getting all three protags together in freeroam can be fun though...taking on the cops with 3 of you especially.

Re: Cars, guns and chicks: The Grand Theft Auto thread.
The problem with drive-by shooting is the camera zoom. iirc in IV the camera didn't move and that made it easier to line up shots before you start shooting. It'll probably be much easier in V to be a passenger while shooting though.
And hanging out with friends you can:
Visit the Cinema
Visit the Bar
Visit the Strip Club
Play Darts
Play Golf
Play Tennis
according to Rockstar Social Club. The only things missing from IV are playing pool and going out to eat iirc. Neither of which were very fun imo. Plus I'm not sure, but I think you can do robberies and such with certain friends as well.
But unfortunately there are no benefits or like meters, but at the same time it's kind of cool because I wasn't worried about it at all while doing story missions.

Re: Cars, guns and chicks: The Grand Theft Auto thread.
I kinda liked to go eating myself. Was a quick energy refill while chilling with a friend. And I loved pool too. I still think a reward from a friendship would be fine, but with a less punishing meter, just like in the Episodes, when your friends were always cool and don't give you any fuzz.
