Here, we can talk about all the many hacks on all of the Streets of Rage games.

Glisp and Red Crimson were working on a SOR2 Music Offset guide about a year ago. As far as I could tell, it wasn't ever completed and the last time I've seen it updated was more than a year ago.

I decided to go ahead and take a crack at it myself and see what I could find that was missing from the list. I'm proud to say that I am almost done.

As far as I can tell, you cannot change the music addresses inside the options menu, unless I accidentally skimmed over it.

(Going to use Glisp's instructions since he has already explained it well):
Each offset above has this in it: 01 XX. The XX = the music track that's played in each stage.

Replace the XX with one of the values listed below.
For example:
Search out the value 99D6. This is for Stage 1-1. When you get to this value you should see : 01 00
00 as shown on the list below is the in game version of Go Straight. Let's say we want to replace it with the unused version. Change the 00 to 01 and save the edited ROM. Then boot it up in an emulator and when you start Stage 1-1 the unused version of Go Straight should play instead of the used version.

klares, i already ended your last ruby hack version.

so cool.

however, i must notice you one big glitch there...
axel is completelly (or almost) unplayable there. almost all the moves causes crashes.

this sure that could be for add too many sprites (the maximun posible as you say) to one hack.

since their cool street fighter 2 hacks, to the new "home safety edition", where you can play as the typical enemy biker, but playable... and with their bike!. and also a buldozer too.

too much fun and without doubt, one of the most original hacks maked until now...

"E.shiva" strikes again. only one week ago of their "home safety edition" super cool vechicles hack (where you can play as one buldozer and as a biker in their bike) this time he comes with the bk3 "mc bride" hack.
edited with some new sprites make by himselft for allow you to perform various new attacks and complete the playable character...

this guy is incredible... their hacks always have a lot of imagination, and are both surprising and funny.

theres not exist none download yet, but sure it comes soon if this bk3 hack dont cause none of those rare reset fails that usually appears in the bk3 hacks.

please, if someone already try the home safety edition and more later this one, feel free for put your oppinion here about their works.
cause you know, he do their best, and i really think he deserves at least some feedback.

in fact, i already suggest to him to post their hacks in more places, for give to they the possibility of can be knowed even by more people.

this reminds me of an idea I had when first playing SoR2. Being able to pick up and ride a bike through the rest of the stage after knocking a biker off of it. That would be an awesome hack if possible, but it'd require a lot of hacking work and a bit of sprite work.

i think the same but for bare knuckle 3, in that supposed erased road stage after fight roo in some the beta shots.
anyway, i always thing it was impossible...

but you see... this guy create all the sprites with many imagination and make it possible for bk3. so maybe other likes to make this for sor2 too.

just a little but not less important note...

our friend gsaurus has strike again. this time he has made one of those things that you always guys wanted...
can play with skate in sor3/bk3 using their sor2 screw kick. and not that other sor3/bk3 special attack of the punches, that is much less good/cool in comparison.

the hack is for sor3 and bk3 too. enjoy

gsaurus has launched sor2 syndicate wars ver 0.9 and also their "free for all" (cpu againts cpu) patch.
now the hack doents crash in stage 8...

I tested this hack some time ago on the emulator for psp and it crashed in stage 8... I thought that it was related with the emu, not the rom

keep in mind, that there still are some minor bugs... that not happens on gens, but yes over kegafusion and real hardware (one real genesis/megadrive console) and included any emulator that works exactly like the real console. (just like kegafusion does).

i will post there the bug list i discover, for try to be helpful to gsaurus and redcrimsom doing this.

however, it looks that this is not the most updated version of syndicate wars hack...

gsaurus said that he have a newer version. i suppose he gets this version AFTER of try to solve all the problems in this one for the release.
