Thankfully they were smart enough to support the Megaman X SF fangame that SonicZH did and allow Classic Megaman to be in the next SSB.

I used to feel bad about Legends fans too, personally never cared for the Legend series.
But whatevs. Sides Capcom's poor excuse for it's cancelation there was also other factors such as Inafune leaving and Legends being a poor entry among the Megaman series anyway. Perhaps they didn't saw it profitable to go on without Inafune and in the end of the day they are a company.
As for SFxTK I don't see why so much saltyness, personally as a fan of 90% of Megaman games I didn't mind it and I think that design fitted SFxTK anyway.
Only thing Im sorry about Megaman dying is that I'll never get a sequel to ZXA, which was left in a quite big cliffhanger but that's it, the other series had a good closure and in the case of classic and X they don't need closure because we know where it leads.

I am more interested in Mighty #9 at this point.

Wow that looks beyond good^^. From what they show in that video i can safely say the wait will be worth it.

Everything looks so good and how it compares to Peace Walker in style is one of the best things because that game was damn good. Seriously can't wait for that sweet baby to hit.

So Steam is having a ton of sales, anyone know what this is about and how long this will be for?

It's the annual summer sale, where tons of games go on sale for outrageously great deals. It's a wonderful way to buy a bunch of games all at once, and a lot of us get carried away with it (I nearly spent $300 on the sale last year)

It goes from June 19th - June 30th. Thanks for letting me know, because they usually start this around mid-July and had no idea that this was going on. I hope I didn't miss anything good during the first couple days of sales.

If they were free, I won't mind it either. I'm just a little worried that much like Steam, it won't be free and people would be paying for games that won't ever get finished.

From a business standpoint though, it kinda makes sense.
There's always people that can't be reasoned with and want to try games as quickly as possible so that service might be there for that.
What I wouldn't like though if it would replace free demos. THAT now would be a no-no from me.

Look, a model that *could* work is to pay a rather cheap fee for a beta, considering also the game will require you to give testing and feedback. Then when the final release is done, you'd need to pay a slightly more for a discounted retail price (discounted since somehow you were part of the betatesting, so you should get some sort of reward for that).

Dick move by both companies. I don't think I will be buying this HD port now.

No surprise there, Square are notoriously dick-ish when it comes to fan projects.

It kinda makes sense when they are releasing the HD port, really bad timing I'd say if the patch was finalised this year (though fuck, SE waited 3 years to do a localization of a game?)
Now what would be very stupid is if they have done other things than simply asking to remove the patch, false accusations and threats are just extreme IMO. Not even SEGA did that.

It was just more than a mere coincidence that Square announced the port after one day the translation was released and now they tell them to go fuck off. I really do feel bad for the people who translated it.

This might be worse than what Sega did because of Square's past with this kind of shit. That Chrono Trigger fangame was announced to be released next week, and then the next day, Square told them to C&D it when they could have done it much earlier than that. They feast on people working hard on something and spending a lot of time on it only to have it mean shit in the end.

I am pretty sure the port was in developement a while before the announcement (they never announce projects out of the blue except if its a lame port like SoR2 on Iphone ) but the translation release might have hasten the announcement.
Anyway, definitely worse than SEGA, that's for sure.

So, at the Sony Press Conference today, a new game called P.T. was shown.



A playable demo was announced for download after the conference was over so people played it.

However, people noticed some weird things about the trailer.

The production company was fake....sound familiar?

Some people thought it might've been a new game from the creator of Siren and the original Silent Hill game. However...

The font in the game is the same as the MGS games. There was some caloriemate laying around too, which is food found in MGS games.


...and then, someone on twitch beat the game not too long ago, and this was shown at the end of the trailer:
