Final Fight Apocalypse - pak files?

I'm curious to try out the SORR equivalent Final Fight Apocalypse.
There are download links to 1st and 2nd editions.

However, when I open the the Rar files, they have Pak files inside which I'm stuck on what to do with.
Is there anyone who is familiar with .pak and what to do with it? Any help is appreciated.
