Re: All completed mods index
Keep up your little ranking system, you don't need to do anything special, just integrate it into the list when you're done.
Mods that are labours of love tend to stand out in the community on their own merits, usually also with threads of their own.

Re: All completed mods index
I've played a few of these so far...most of them are troll mods and/or really short, but here's the ones that stand out:
Christmas Odyssey: Nice looking snow stages, cool use of 5.1 features, fairly decent gameplay and...a hammer that you can't use Definitely the pick of the bunch so far, it can compete with the known mods quite well.
Evil Elle Returns: Like most of these mods it's full of ripoff stages (graphically), but it's accompanied by ambient oriental music and unlike it's predecessor is actually playable for the most part. (until the final stage that is, my advice is ignore the doors and go straight)
Eight Worlds of Rage: The first stage will put nearly all people off...despite some tough and interesting boss rushes it's far too repetitive (even if you like your trance classics, as I do). The rest is a mixed bag in terms of length/difficulty/repetition...but the graphics aren't bad, there's some neat themes going on, the music choices are excellent (trance, rock, hip-hop, metal, SoR remixes and some uplifting film soundtracks) and there is a sense of accomplishment in beating this many hard fights (even with police and silly amounts of 1ups). It's worth a playthrough with your top toon if you're a masochist who can take the length (5.1 savestates ftw, played it over a few days). To give you an idea of how long it is, take a look below:

Some stuff I... simply won't try. Unless, as above stated, is recommended.

With the weapons never disappear cheat, you can use the hammer as long as you can, but as it sends the enemies flying within a single strike no matter what amount of health they have, you'll get a game-breaker if you hit a boss with it

Re: All completed mods index
The journey continues - I'll probably do a full review at the end (mainly because I already have a spreadsheet with all the mods on), here's a few more that stick out for some reason:
Devastating Flood: Shares a few traits with many of these mods (ripoff stages, troll mod battles) but has an unusual theme and some weird-looking environments. (music is ok too)
Hunt of Rage/Masha and Bear: These are both short and cartoony, something a bit different. (and not that easy either if you're going for no life losses)
The Hydra: The theming/graphics have been put together nicely here, it's even playable too. (apart from a few troll mod boss fights...damn, nearly a good 'un)
Minecraft: Now this is more like it - the stages look nice, the enemies are colour-coded to match, and Lindsey Stirling is spot-on for the music choices. The only downside is the lack of food, otherwise it's quite well-balanced and accessible for all players. (It also has no final boss but it does have an ending screen...maybe it's a beta, maybe it's not)

The Hydra is an old mod from the old forums. It was quite nice, IIRC. Might need to brush it up and play it again.

Hi celestinx, please could you insert the download link of Streets of Rage Ultimate 1.1 - Deluxe Version?
EX is a bonus version for expert players, Deluxe is the official version.
Thank you.

I've noticed that many of these mods don't have their own threads or screenshots. I think posting a few for them might encourage people to download them more. It's just that i'm not sure which of the lesser known mods are worth my time.

I don't think they need their own threads - the author of each individual mod should make them. But I was thinking something similar... that some more screenshots and maybe Youtube recordings would be nice

Creators should be the ones giving exposure to their work. Unless the mod is out from this world, fans as much should allow certain level of exposure, it is the duty of the creators to put them in the highlight.

Many of the mods that do not have threads are made by people who do not use this website, however, they do know about this website and most of them can understand English. So they are more than welcome to join us if they would like to talk with us or maybe work with us.
Other than that the best we can do is share our mods with them and their mods with us.
Anyway I am back and have updated:
Streets of rage ultimate adding the new death ver links. [Will come back to add mirror later]
Battle for Rio v1.6 [Will come back to add mirror later]
New mods to the list
Battle for Rio 2 v2.0 [Will come back to add mirror later]
Currently uploading:
Brutal Paws of Fury Remake
Double Dragon III Remake
Karate Blazers Remake
Shaq Fu Remake

Re: All completed mods index
Karate Blazers Remake...
Boy, this fucking mod draaaags!
I always wanted to make a remake of this game in a SORmaker mod, but it seems this Russian modder beat me into it... but, sadly, didn't fulfill the expectations.
The disappointment began since I unzipped the folder: no palette folder, no data folder... therefore, no customization. Okay, I could bear with it. Then, as I started playing (I recorded this live as my first run ever) I see no music from KB either, just plain old SOR music... boring. Fine, can deal with it.
But when I see every fucking camera stop having around 6 or 7 waves of enemies, I knew this mod was garbage. It did have some good ideas and positioning isn't half bad... if it didn't drag so fucking long! Especially in those waves with only Galsias and Donnies.
A 5-stage mod that took me half and hour to complete, by the time I lost my first continue, I just couldn't give a fuck anymore, I was really looking forward to finish it so I can go pee. If I knew it would be this boring, I'd have grabbed Max and finish it in half time (notice the amount of Time Overs I've got).
Anyways, this mod had potential to be something good, shame it was just stupidly boring with those dragging, annoying waves.
Hey, at least it had the original ending, something good for once!

By the way, my simpsons mod in the list was my very first version, which don't even have the "almost yellow skin" palettes I did later (v 2.0).
Update with this one, if you can.

Whoever made this used some objects and sprites taken from my first mod, so it must be recent. The readme is 1 line long and scripts are empty (alpha?)
