How to use Series Button?


i try basic:
X + Forward, Forward
X + Up, Forward
X + Down, Up, Forward

but nothing happens....

Every player has a different combo to perform their X move... Those are best to be seen in the unlockable character sheets, purchased in Blaze's shop!

The Series button is the last move in a character's primary combo, or the "combo finisher". In Streets of Rage 3, this is the Y button by default, not X. In Adam's case, it's his kick that comes after his launching uppercut. In Axel's case (SoR2 and SoR3 versions), it's his double kick.

The button involved with direction inputs is the Special Combo button (what you must be looking for). You can look in the character profiles (if you have it unlocked) from the shop and scroll all the way down to see their input lists.
