v1.5: (released alongside Battle for Rio 2)
- Added a capoeira part, redesigned bench, skate guy, and pidgeons to beach stage.
- Added a piano to the Barbon bar.
- Added the missing Rio street signs.
- Added two girls with Poison to the The Girl entrance.
- Added new breakables to the dojo scenes in stage 5.
- Added auto destruct warning to scene 6 of stage 6.
- Added door and updated room screen in stage 3.
- Added the data sound mods from Battle for Rio 2.
- Improved map and arcade break, and added plant to Ella Club.
- Reduced energy of repeat bikers.
- Updated some explosion effects from stage 8.
- Various enemy energy tweaks based on suggestions from KFCutman.
- Improved shadow direction of various stages.
- Fixed a few typos.
- Fixed out of map bottle in Ella Club.
- Removed Wayne from the Boy club.
- Minor changes to scripts (you learn that Barbon will be freed).

Bug: at the end of the first scene, the CPU can not get over the police car.
The bug is only for 2 players mode with CPU friend.

I noticed this one some time ago. I consider it a SORR CPU friend bug, not a bug from the mod. I noticed that if you move around a bit the CPU friend ends in the right position and you can go to the next scene

I played the last version, still so good, there is a real specific ambience in this game and that's a strong point. Bravo for the capoeira part, it was missing, and good song choice for "Onde vai Caimã" (yes, I'm capoeirist Wink).
However, the end was strange, I was forwarded directyl to the title screen, without message or cutscene. Is it normal?

Nice to learn the name of the song! I only knew that it was from a capoeira roda in the boardwalk of the Copacabana beach Smile You mean in stage 8? Was it in the middle of the fog/smoke? Then you took the wrong elevator which leads to the bad ending. Check my other mod Battle for Rio 2 which is the "cutscene" for it so you can continue from where you stopped Razz

Okay, now that's something you don't see quite often. A full video documentary about BFR with concepts, betas, game footage (thanks for using my gameplay vids as a resource), real life references and even praise on them mods, hehe (not too humble, are you? Razz )

That's something I have never seen before, great video, I love these behind the scenes things in movies and games, glad you decided to do this for a mod, that's true love on your work. Smile

Glad that you liked it Smile Just finished adding the English subtitles (the auto-generated version was shit), with translation for the Portuguese part at the end as well, the car chase.

Why don't go for a BFR3 instead? New scenes, new storyline, new setups. I'm rather sure Rio De Janeiro has lots of areas to be explored. Razz

It's likely going to be one of the stages/cities of my next mod. Just found another nice documentary, this one about Rio's Batman, and a poor Batman (which I only learned about now) and the protests happening right now across the country. I will try to explore the batmen with Ellen Page and Ash Smile  It can be watched here:

Wow, cool man! I was watching the video you linked about this mod, saying it was inspired by Way of The Warrior, feeling glad, thanks man! Just one note, I'm not Japanese, I'm Brazilian too, but I lived in Japan for about 5 years, then I decided to use my knowledge about the country in my mod! I will play your mod as a spiritual successor to the Way of the Warrior! Your work looks amazing, can't wait to try it!

Wow, has it been a while.

Unfortunately, I lost most my SORR data, except my save data and palettes, so I'm afraid I won't be able to do that "balancing patch."
Considering my non-existent reputation, I wouldn't be surprised if I spammed the levels with Garnet.

I recently played your mod again for old time sake.  On thing I noticed was there were certain stages that acted as actual ingame cutscenes.  Whenever I push the start button in these scenes it would skip it like a normal cutscene, as opposed to just pausing the game.  I'm wondering.  How did you do that? I might do some tinkering and see if I can make a tutorial about that and I figured i'd ask where I can start to figure it all out.
