Smartphone Port of SoR: remake

Would be nice to port this gem to iOS & Android enabled mobile phones & tablets. If i knew how to do this i would, but i do hope someone is working on this.. because mobile gaming has exploded recently and i prefer to play casually on my iPhone than i do on a console or PC.

What are your thoughts on this matter? because SEGA won't allow this to be released officially in google's playstore or apples appstore.. it would be needed to work with an emulator i guess.

Well... we wouldn't need an emulator, just a port of bennu for iOS/Android (bennu is the language in which this game has been programmed). In every port that you can find of this game, everything is the same: the .dat file, the music, etc. the only thing that really changes is the interpreter (the .exe in the pc version, for example), the rest are just minor changes like changing the music to lower quality, changing a line in system.txt,... I only know a little about those bennu ports, but I think that they are unfinished and almost dead

I'm hoping that once mac OS x merges with iOS, i can finally play this gem on future iDevice. I heard apple will merge both into one unified OS.

I see bennugd is being ported to ios and android so fingers crossed, this game is a real gem and I'm fortunate to have original Xbox and gp2xwiz with it on, would love multiplayer n android or iPad though :-)

Is it actually being ported? Last time I looked into bennu being ported, I didn't really see progress. This is fantastic.. Right now, I'm loving it on my CAANOO (GP2xwizz successor)

Hopefully this means we see sorr make its way over to iOS & android But I doubt apple will approve of it. It will most likely be available in Cydia for jailbroken iPhones.

I'm the author of the iOS/Android ports of BennuGD. I arrived here while looking at my blog's stats so please don't expect me to check this forum very often. Feel free to contact me through the blog, though.

Both ports are working right now. And there have been quite a few games published with them. Some examples:

But there are many more, I'd say there are around ten BennuGD games already in or coming to Ouya. There are a few more in Google Play, and also some of them in the App Store for iOS.

So it should be a matter of sticking the PC version's resources to the Ouya port and creating the APK. I'll try this evening, but don't expect me to share anything more than a photo or maybe a video, for obvious reasons.

I'm astonished that this masterpiece hasnt been ported to the most widely used phone OS yet...
