How did you come up with your username?

Deisha is a Japanese phonetic spelling of a screen name I had on an entertainment forum I used to frequent. Max is one my favorite characters to play in Streets of Rage 2.

Huh. I seemed to miss this topic. Had a read through your responses. It's always fascinating reading the story behind the name.

Mine comes from two places. I first went by Inferno, which came from the track "Sunrise (Ratty's Inferno)" by Scooter, one of my favourite instrumental Trance tracks from them.

I later changed it to Iceferno some time after playing The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time and making use of the blue fire in the Ice Cavern. The idea of fusing opposites resonated with me and inspired the blending of several music genres throughout my music creating years.

Nothing really special here. It was/is the name of the characters I made for the original Elder Scrolls games back in the 90's (now that i think about it, I've been making variants of the same character for over 20 years lol). I started using it as an internet handle because it's so unique and theres never any danger of another user having it.

Both those animes rock, really wish History's Strongest Deciple Kenichi would come back from where it left off, it was a great annime for sure.

I made mine by fusing my first name with something that I had on the top of my head. Not very memorable, but it was funny when I came up with it.

Karo-sempai?

Once, in one of the online games, I decided to play a relatively young samurai (in a fantasy setting reminiscent of 17th century Japan), and I was offered to name him Karo Amano. And since I was born in 1970 in real life, which means I'm much older than most of my online friends, I decided to put it mildly and called myself Karo-sempai on several forums.

(In case someone doesn't know, the addition to the name "-sempai" means "senior friend" in Japan, "someone who learns the same things as you, but is a little more experienced than you.")

Later, I even composed a whole series of parody haiku, supposedly composed by this same Karo Amano:

I refused to love my lady.
And the other lady refused to love me.
Where should I go now?

Practice with your sword day and night,
Kill ten knights in duels,
She won't love you anyway.

Not a single lady is even looking at me.
Kappa [spirit of water], bring some rice wine!
Let's drink out of grief.

Which is more pleasant: to cut the enemy in two
Or eat a rice cake?
I think it's about the same.

I spent a long time visiting the yokai [mystical beings],
And then I went down the mountain to the people.
Why, you are my great-granddaughter?!

I gave her love, she spared me.
