Are those patched characters along similar lines of what one might find in SoR3 Ultimate for V5's DLC folder?
I just discovered that stuff in the mod's files yesterday and it's intriguing me quite a bit.
Guess you're not at liberty to say at this time, but I now have monkeys screaming inside my brain to get more info out of you. I will keep them inside their cages, of course.
I didn't know a project like that was underway, but I am so glad it is. Wonder what will be changed. Other characters too? I must have this when it is available!

With my Beta Grand-Uppah fix, Axel1 may actually be my favourite right now... even if his flying knee is trash.

If you watched my Vendetta mod beta runs in YouTube, you'll see I'm using the patched Axel-1, and yes, he feels and plays better in all ways possible. He's finally a contender for a good character. He has the reach he deserves.

Watched a playthrough of that beta, from what I could see you definitely right. Can't wait to get my hands on both Vendetta and the Axel1 patch. Been maining more different characters than ever and this definitely opens up even more possibilities.

Axels 1/2 are just too slow and cannot keep up. They may have better damage and better blitz but in mania that doesn't mean much when you don't have speed.
Axel 3 lacks in range (Donovans with pipes are annoying as hell) and his 1-star blitz is awful. However, he's still the best Axel out of the three. Lower damage output doesn't mean much when you combo better and have greater speed (and in Mania speed and positioning is key). His 2-star blitz is safe and deals great damage.He can also infinite punch anyone who can't block, making for some very easy boss fights. (I was hoping they would keep his infinite from SOR3 but oh well )
However, I think Axel could use a slight change or more specifically his roll. The rolls in this game remind me of the rolls in Super Smash Bros and those give you invulnerability. Axel3 needs the mobility and has it horizontally but vertically he is screwed since the rolls in this game are piss poor. I think the first few frames of the roll should provide invulnerability or his roll should be quicker because as it stands Axel feels incomplete.
The Thai fighters are probably the most difficult enemies in this game (including the bosses) for Axel since they have greater speed and range and can block. Trying to complete a no-death Mania run is impossible because of them
