Hi 🎶

WIP now. We're on the move! Streets of Kamurocho: The Definite Edition. Properly resized, with proper reflection effects and more stuff than the original SOK.
Plus, we're going for a whole Yakuza homage, with references of iconic areas of the game: the rooftops, Millenium Tower, Purgatory, Kamurocho Hills, Tokyo Bay, inside places like Akiyama's Club Elise, etc. etc.

so here's a quick preview of the modifications and the arrangement from the original source. I still need to work on the map and other small details, but we'll try to have at least stage 1 ready soon.

Considering how little the Bacchus from SoK looks like, decided to design it closer to the original version, so no more Barbon's Bar lookalike, this is how's looking. I made those armchairs as well.

Here's some updates on Bacchus Bar. Almost completely redesigned, resized and with a lot of elements from the original one. No more Barbon's Bar ripoff anymore. I put Elise's BGM as placeholder, I wanna put Bakamitai in Jazz as the official music. Enjoy!

Now that would be cool. I was planning to use the OST from the Yakuza games, but I guess some remixes in SOR style would sounds good.

If you're game with remixes I can list you up some of the songs I plan to use in the game, let me know if you're interested.

Yeah definitely. I sort of had an idea for a SOR1 Baka Mitai, but 2 could work with the visuals.
Ever since playing SoK I've really wanted to remix Funk Goes On, and Ichiban's theme has a SOR3 quality to it.

Hey, welcome!
Nah, found them ripped resources and happened to have the stages upgraded. Found a lot of issues with the proportion and size in accordance to all the character's sprite size, so I had to make doors bigger or else Kamurocho will look like a toytown. Here's an example:

The edited size.

So, I had to sacrifice a few things from stage 1: doors can't be opened automatically. Instead I made the interior a separated layer, put glass and reflection atop of it, so the characters will reflect over the window panes.
Looking good that beta character, it's looking really nice. Which character you plan to use in its place?

Okay, so graphic-wise, stage 1 (for instance, the whole original SOK game, lol) has been completed. I've already added the breakables in the whole stage, a few more layers in the boss fight and that's it. What I really need to at least release a playable demo are the Yakuza characters (at least the enemies) so I can start to populate and that's it. The data folder, palettes and other things I can take care of them myself. So, just waiting for those things to at least release a demo.

@Don Vecta: I think that R.Bear can be a good model for this concept character. I imagine D.Bear (Douglas Bear) as his younger brother Smile.
