I gotta say, all these are very cool, I love how they actually tried to take actors and costumes that were looking as closely as possible to the originals. Sonya and Stryker especially!

My initial thoughts:

- Glad to hear about an announcement, but I hope that we can see some actual gameplay at E3 this year. Especially if it's supposed to come out next year.

- Can we have a fight that Sub-Zero wins against Scorpion for once Ed? I know you have an unusual fixation for Scorpion, but come on. Razz

- I'm curious on how they are going to handle the story this time around. SPOILERS FOR MK9

Spoiler:

- I wonder who Kiefer Sutherland is gonna voice, since he kinda leaked that he was voicing in an upcoming MK game not too long ago.

Hey, Ed Boon probably wants an actor of this high caliber voice his favorite character right? Razz

- No post-MK3 nonsense please!

Yeah, a bit disappointed it didn't have gameplay but it's an awesome start nonetheless.
Like the pace of the fight, the return of X-Rays and the new designs of Subby and Scorpy.
Of course Scorpy had to win Razz

I guess one of the reasons Boon didn't like the movies much is the fact that Scorpion lost in both of them, even against the younger Sub-Zero in the second MK movie.

Things that are known so far:
- Confirmed for release on PS4 and Xbox One but also on PC, PS3 (I'm hyper happy!!!) and Xbox360 for 2015.
- "Mortal Kombat X gives players the ability to choose from multiple variations of each character impacting both strategy and fighting style." A system a la MK:DA - Deception - Armageddon or something closer to what SF and MvsC propose?
- a new online mode that is "fully-connected" and "persistent" (let's just hope that means "without region lock" and "of decent quality")
- new characters, new game modes and an all new graphics engine.
- "Players step into an original story showcasing some of the game’s most prolific characters including Scorpion and Sub-Zero, while introducing new challengers that represent the forces of good and evil and tie the tale together." so I guess it's not exactly going to be a MK4 remake? We'll find out later I suppose.
- The cover for the game actually sucks and I can only hope this is not final.

So far, pretty happy this is confirmed to be MKX and pretty happy I'll get to play without the need to buy a PS4.

Cool trailer but I thought the music choice was really unfitting. I'm curious about the roster since like 90% of the MK9 cast is dead... or could this be a prequel???

I'm really hoping to see some gameplay and more characters soon. But with a guaranteed PS3 release I'm already happy.

So we tested the new MK9 servers with Criss, it's less laggy and apparently even the green orbs for the connexion quality now works!

Kratos won't most likely return in MKX (and probably other guest characters from MK9 too).
